Techniques> Embossing

Embossing looks very effective and can really add an extra element to your card making. It's really simple to do! Just follow the instructions below.

1. Stamp your image using either a pigment ink or embossing ink and cover with embossing powder.

2. Fold a sheet of paper in half and carefully tip all the excess powder from the card onto this. Your powder will have stuck to the wet image. Use a fine paint brush to remove any excess grains on the card, and then pour excess powder back into container.

3. Heat the image on the card by using a precision heat tool or if not available  hold card over a toaster with the image face up and  wait for the powder to melt and image to rise.

4. Allow 2 minutes for your image to set before touching.
